The Site Manager allows you to duplicate existing pages, making it easy to reuse layouts and content without rebuilding a page from scratch. Page duplication creates a new page with the same sections, layout structure, and settings as the original.
This feature is especially helpful when creating pages with similar designs, launching new content based on an existing template, or building a new section of the website that follows an established layout.
How to Duplicate a Page
- Log in to your Site Manager administration panel.
- Open the Page Manager.
- Locate the page you want to duplicate.
- Open the page action menu.
- Select Duplicate Page.
A copy of the page will be created with the same structure and content. You can then rename the page, adjust its location in the page hierarchy, and edit the sections as needed.
Duplicating a Page Tree
If a page contains subpages, Site Manager provides an option to duplicate the entire page tree. This creates a copy of the parent page along with all of its subpages and their sections.
The duplicated page tree preserves the same hierarchy as the original, allowing you to quickly replicate an entire section of your website.
What Gets Copied
- Page title and page properties
- All sections and layouts on the page
- Section content such as text, images, and galleries
- Module configurations such as forms, maps, and media
- Subpages and their associated sections (when duplicating a page tree)
Media such as images and galleries are copied so that the duplicated page can be edited independently of the original.
Typical Uses
- Creating a new page using an existing layout
- Duplicating event pages or ministry pages with similar structures
- Replicating an entire site section with subpages
- Building a consistent page design across multiple parts of the website
Tips
- After duplicating a page, review the page title and URL to ensure they reflect the new content.
- If you duplicate a page tree, check each subpage to confirm the content is correct.
- Use page duplication to maintain consistent layouts across your website.
