Image Galleries

Image Galleries allow you to display collections of photos on your website in several different layouts including carousels, masonry grids, and thumbnail galleries. Galleries are commonly used for parish events, ministry activities, or historical photo collections.

Each gallery can contain images from one or more image directories, and you can control how the gallery is displayed using a variety of layout and styling options.

Accessing Image Galleries

To manage galleries, navigate to:

Components → Image Galleries

From this page you can:

  • Create new galleries
  • Edit existing galleries
  • Delete galleries
  • View galleries on your website

Creating an Image Gallery

  1. Go to Components → Image Galleries
  2. Click Create Gallery
  3. Enter a gallery title
  4. Select an optional event date
  5. Choose the display style
  6. Select the image directories to include
  7. Choose a main image for the gallery
  8. Click Continue to select images

Selecting Images

After saving the gallery settings, you will be presented with a screen that shows all images from the selected directories. From this screen you can:

  • Select which images should appear in the gallery
  • Add captions to individual images
  • Select or deselect all images at once

Click Save when finished.

Gallery Display Styles

Several display layouts are available depending on how you want your images presented.

  • Gallery Info – Displays gallery information only.
  • Gallery Info + Carousel – Displays gallery details with a rotating image carousel.
  • Gallery Info + Carousel 3D – Displays gallery details with a three-dimensional carousel effect.
  • Gallery Info + Masonry Thumbnails – Displays gallery information with a masonry grid of thumbnails.
  • Carousel – Displays images as a rotating slideshow.
  • Carousel 3D – Displays images in a three-dimensional rotating slideshow.
  • Masonry Thumbnails – Displays images in a masonry grid layout.

Carousel Settings

If you choose a carousel layout, additional options become available:

  • Aspect ratio layout
  • Maximum width
  • Slide interval timing
  • Theme (light or dark)
  • Text background color
  • Hover highlight effects
  • Navigation arrows
  • Indicators

Carousel 3D Settings

The 3D carousel layout includes additional visual effects:

  • Display style (cover flow or stacked)
  • Slide image mode (fit or cover)
  • Slide interval timing
  • Slide size
  • Background color
  • Theme options
  • Caption display
  • Reflection effect

Using Image Directories

Image galleries are built using images that already exist in your Media Library. When creating a gallery, you can select one or more image directories. All images within those directories will be available to choose from when building the gallery.

Displaying a Gallery on a Page

To display a gallery on a page:

  1. Edit the page where the gallery should appear
  2. Add a new section
  3. Select Basic → Image Gallery
  4. Select the gallery you created
  5. Save the page

The gallery will then appear on your page using the display style you selected.
