Enable/Disable Account Access

The Enable/Disable Account Access page allows administrators to control which users are permitted to log into their website account and access the Member Directory. This is useful for approving new users, temporarily disabling access, or removing unwanted accounts.

Accessing Account Authorization

To manage user account access, navigate to:

Components → Member Directory → Enable/Disable Account Access

This page displays all registered user accounts along with their current directory access status.

Understanding the Account List

Each account in the list displays:

  • Email – The user's login email address
  • Name – The name associated with the account
  • Directory Access – Indicates whether the user currently has permission to access the Member Directory

A green badge indicates access is enabled, while a red badge indicates access is currently disabled.

Enabling or Disabling Access

To change access permissions:

  1. Select one or more accounts using the checkboxes in the first column
  2. Click Enable Access to allow the selected users to access the directory
  3. Click Disable Access to revoke access
  4. Confirm the action when prompted

This allows administrators to approve new accounts or temporarily restrict access when necessary.

Logging in as a User

Administrators can log in as a user account for troubleshooting or support.

  • Click the login icon next to the account
  • A new browser tab will open logged in as that user

This is useful for verifying permissions or helping users with account-related issues.

Editing an Account

To modify account details such as name or email address:

  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the account

Deleting Accounts

Accounts can be removed using the dropdown menu on the right side of the row.

  • Delete – Removes the account
  • This is spam – Deletes all accounts created from that IP address and blocks the IP from accessing the website

Use the spam option only when accounts were created automatically by bots or malicious users.

Creating a New Account

You can create a new user account by clicking the Create Account button at the top of the page. This opens the account registration form in a new tab.
