Email accounts allow you to send and receive messages using your domain name (for example, office@yourdomain.org). Each account has its own mailbox and password and can be accessed through webmail or email applications such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or mobile devices.
Accessing Email Accounts
To manage email accounts, go to:
Email → Accounts
From this page you can create new email accounts, manage existing accounts, and adjust mailbox settings.
Creating an Email Account
To create a new email account:
- Go to Email → Accounts
- Click Create Email Account
- Enter the email address name
- Select the domain
- Create a password
- Set the mailbox quota (optional)
- Click Save
Email Account Fields
- Email – The name of the mailbox (for example, office).
- Domain – The domain associated with the email account.
- Password – The password used to access the mailbox.
- Quota – The amount of disk space allocated for the mailbox in megabytes.
For example:
- Email: office
- Domain: yourdomain.org
- Resulting address: office@yourdomain.org
Password Generator
The account creation screen includes a password generator to help you create strong passwords automatically. Strong passwords help protect your email account from unauthorized access.
Mailbox Quotas
The mailbox quota controls how much storage space the email account can use.
- If the mailbox reaches its quota, it will stop receiving new email until space is cleared.
- You may increase or decrease the quota later if needed.
Accessing Your Email
Once the account is created, you can access your email in several ways:
- Webmail – Access your mailbox through a web browser.
- Email applications – Configure programs such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.
- Mobile devices – Connect using the Mail apps on iPhone or Android.
Common Uses
- Parish office communication (office@yourdomain.org)
- Clergy or staff accounts
- Ministry or department email addresses
- Shared mailboxes for teams
Tip
If you simply want an address to redirect email to another mailbox without storing messages on the server, consider using an Email Forwarder instead of creating a full mailbox.
