Email Delivery

The Delivery Status tool provides real-time visibility into outbound email activity. It allows administrators to review message delivery attempts, SMTP responses, and routing details without needing direct access to server mail logs.

Accessing Delivery Status

To view delivery information, go to:

Email → Tools → Delivery Status

The system will display a list of recent email delivery attempts generated by your website or server.

Delivery Log Table

The Delivery Status table shows detailed information about each message sent by the system.

  • Time – The date and time the message was processed.
  • Status – Indicates whether the message was delivered, deferred, or rejected.
  • Direction – Shows whether the message was sent outbound or processed internally.
  • Sender – The originating email address. System-generated messages may display as system.
  • Recipient – The destination email address.
  • Domain – The domain associated with the message.
  • Transport – The delivery method used by the mail server.
  • Route – The mail routing path used to deliver the message.

Understanding Delivery Status

  • Delivered – The receiving server accepted the message successfully.
  • Deferred – Delivery was temporarily delayed and will be retried automatically.
  • Rejected – The receiving server refused the message.
  • Bounced – The message could not be delivered and was returned to the sender.

Common Uses

Delivery Status is useful when diagnosing email issues such as:

  • Contact form submissions not arriving
  • Password reset emails failing to send
  • Mail being rejected by recipient servers
  • Mail routing or authentication problems

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If messages are rejected, review the SMTP response from the receiving server.
  • If messages are repeatedly deferred, the receiving server may be temporarily unavailable or rate limiting connections.
  • If delivery fails for many recipients, check your domain's email authentication (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC).
  • Use the Email Health tool to review overall email configuration and reputation.

Important Notes

  • The Delivery Status tool displays recent email activity generated by the system.
  • Older records may be automatically removed as logs rotate.
  • This tool is intended for diagnostics and troubleshooting of email delivery behavior.
