System Emails

The System Emails tool displays automated emails sent by your website. This includes messages generated by contact forms, store notifications, authentication events, and other system processes.

Accessing System Emails

To view system-generated messages, go to:

Email → Tools → System Emails

The page displays a log of recent automated emails sent by your website.

Email Log Table

The System Emails table lists detailed information about each message:

  • Date – When the email was sent.
  • Type – The category of system message.
  • Description – A short explanation of the event that generated the email.
  • Sender – The email address that sent the message.
  • Recipient – The destination email address.
  • Subject – The subject line of the message.
  • IP Address – The originating IP address of the request.

Viewing Email Content

To view the full contents of a message:

  1. Locate the message in the table.
  2. Click the View icon.
  3. The email content will open in a preview window.

You can also open the message in a separate browser window for easier reading.

Common Message Types

Examples of system-generated emails include:

  • Email Form – Contact form submissions from your website.
  • Authentication – Login notifications or account-related messages.
  • Store – Order confirmations and store-related notifications.

Managing Log Entries

Administrators may manage the email log in several ways:

  • Delete Individual Entries – Remove a specific message from the log.
  • Mark as Spam – Delete all messages from the same IP address and block future submissions from that source.
  • Bulk Actions – Delete, save, or print entries based on type or age.

Bulk Log Maintenance

Administrators can perform bulk actions on email logs:

  • Delete – Remove log entries older than a selected time period.
  • Print – Generate a printable report of selected log entries.
  • Save – Export selected log entries for record keeping.

You may filter these actions by message type and by age of the log entries.

Why System Emails Are Logged

The email log helps administrators:

  • Verify that contact form messages were sent
  • Investigate spam submissions
  • Troubleshoot missing email notifications
  • Audit automated communications from the website

Important Notes

  • The System Emails page shows messages generated by the website itself, not general mailbox email.
  • Older entries may be periodically removed to maintain performance.
  • If an expected message does not appear in the log, the email may not have been generated by the system.
